Comprehensive examination committee:

Preparing and correcting the comprehensive test for doctoral students.

Curriculum Development Committee
Curriculum Development Committee:
-
Coordination with the university’s study plan committee regarding any update or development of the plan.
-
Follow up on the recent versions of the standards of the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation and the National Qualifications Framework, and study the extent to which the current courses agree with them.
-
Coordination for the review of courses by faculty members, each in his specialization, and each faculty member describing the courses he teaches, so that this description includes the appropriateness of the current content of the course in terms of quantity, the number of hours required to teach it, the suitability of the previous requirements of the course, as well as the appropriateness and updating of the reference books received with the study plan.

Coordination among all faculty members to purify academic courses from repetitive subjects, if any, and to record and discuss the observations and views of faculty members on the courses they teach contained in the course report forms that are prepared at the end of each semester.

Develop proposals and recommendations for any academic courses that the committee deems to be added or deleted, and submit them to the university's study plans committee to take the necessary legal procedures.

Keeping all the committee’s work, such as minutes and others, and providing the department head/supervisor with a copy of it.

Developing plans and curricula for bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees.

Consider the issues referred to the committee by the department and complete the relevant transactions.
Graduate Studies Committee, International Students, and Seminars
Tasks of the Graduate Studies Committee, International Students, and Seminars:

Preparing the admission test for doctoral students and marking the tests.
-
Studying the files of male and female students applying for the postgraduate program (Master’s and Ph.D.) and determining the required supplementary courses.
-
Determining an academic advisor for all male and female students admitted to the postgraduate program.
-
Organizing an orientation day meeting in the first week for male and female students, in the presence of the head and supervisor of the department, all members of the Graduate Studies Committee, male and female mentors.
-
Preparing graduate studies schedules.
-
Follow up on the progress of the addition and deletion process after approval by the student’s academic advisor.
-
Follow up on the progress of the monitors on the tests of the subjects taught by the student section.
-
Conduct periodic meetings with postgraduate students to discuss the most important difficulties.
-
Follow up on postgraduate studies.
-
Coordinating attendance at seminars and arranging scientific meetings in the department.
-
The presence of a representative of postgraduate studies, the head or supervisor of the department, or their representative from the Postgraduate Studies Committee, to attend the discussions.

Urging students and faculty members to submit their research proposals to donors in the Kingdom to finance them, such as King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, or to apply for subsidized programs at King Abdulaziz University.

Laboratories Technical Committee
Tasks of the laboratories technical committee:

Study and determine the entire department's hardware and software needs.

Determining the equipment of laboratories and following up the application of safety systems and procedures therein.

Coordination with the relevant authorities at the university to purchase and supply the needs of the department's laboratories.
-
Follow up the maintenance of devices in the laboratories and follow up the transfer of the covenant to all incoming devices.
-
Examine and receive all equipment and software supplied to the department and ensure that they conform to the required specifications, in addition to arranging them in an electronic system that facilitates the inventory and addition process.

Develop a plan to develop and update the specifications and standards for the laboratories of the Mathematics Department.

Considering the issues referred by the department head/supervisor to the committee and completing the relevant transactions.
Schedules Committee
Tasks of the schedules committee:
-
Creating the department's study schedules and submitting them to the faculty's educational affairs.

Follow up on the establishment of the academic schedule for the department with the specialists in the college.

Direct coordination with educational affairs regarding the registration of students in academic courses.
-
Fill out the schedule forms as required by the college, taking care not to conflict with subjects that fall at the same level.
-
Follow up on the desire of male and female students in the elective courses and be keen on diversifying them in a way that serves the interest of the student.

Follow up on the desire of the members of the department.
-
Providing the heads and coordinators of the divisions with the quarterly report.
-
Fill out all forms related to the schedules of materials for the employees of the department.
-
Attending meetings related to the scheduling mechanism in the college.
-

Social Committee
Tasks of the Social Committee:

Organizing parties for the department's social events at the end of each semester in each part.

Organizing the hospitality of the department’s activities on the orientation day for male and female students.
Specialized Sections Committee
Tasks of the Specialized Sections Committee:
-
Coordination between members of the Division to distribute and rotate materials.
-
Coordination among the members of the Division to distribute supervision to male and female graduate students.
-
Coordination between the two parts to make seminars in different disciplines.
-
Considering the issues referred by the department head/supervisor to the committee and completing the relevant transactions.
