The Mathematics Department hosted a celebration commemorating its 50th anniversary, marked by dedication, achievements, and academic research excellence. The event was attended by the esteemed Dean of the College of Science, Dr. Ibrahim Makhald, and the Vice Deans of the College, along with a significant number of faculty members from the department
The royal anthem was played, and then the ceremonial event for this occasion began with verses from the Holy Quran
Following that, Dr. Abdullah Khamees Al-Zahrani, the department's chairman, delivered a welcoming address in which he greeted the attendees and outlined the stages of the department's development on both the academic and research fronts.
Following this, the esteemed Dean of the College delivered a gratitude-filled speech, in which he expressed his thanks to the members of the department for their dedicated efforts and the achievements that the department's members have accomplished since its establishment
The event featured several activities, including the screening of a documentary film that summarized the department's achievements
Additionally, there was a recognition ceremony to honor the former department heads, supervisors, and staff members.
And recognition was given to the families of the faculty members from the department who have passed away, yet their legacies continue to endure.
