Overview

The Department of Mathematics has instituted a weekly seminar to foster the exchange of mathematical updates across various fields. This initiative serves as an invaluable platform for individuals to engage with experts in mathematics, both on a local and global scale. The seminars delve into pertinent topics within specific mathematical subjects, creating a rich environment for discussion and knowledge sharing. Notably, postgraduate students find these sessions particularly beneficial, as they offer a unique opportunity to stay abreast of the latest information and acquire new skills relevant to their specific areas of mathematical research. This weekly gathering not only facilitates intellectual discourse but also enhances the academic growth and research capabilities of participants in the field of mathematics.

Objectives

  • The main objective of the seminar is to provide a forum for researchers, eminent academicians, research scholars, and students to exchange ideas, communicate, and discuss research findings and new advances in various topics within the field of mathematics.
  • The seminar also enables participants to explore possible avenues within the subject, as well as engage in scientific activities within the Department of Mathematics.
  • The seminar also affords an opportunity for academics, research scientists, and postgraduate students to communicate and discuss mathematical problems and their applications.
  • Time & Location

The regular seminars are conducted every Thursday under the supervision of the Center of Modern Mathematical Sciences and their Applications (CMMSA) - Courses and Training Unit. These enlightening sessions alternate between two modes of attendance to accommodate a diverse group of participants. Attendees have the option to join in person, gathering in the inviting atmosphere of Room 2229 B, located on the second floor of the Building 90A, which provides a perfect setting for lively discussions and interactive learning. Alternatively, for those who prefer or require remote access, the seminars are also available online, ensuring that no matter where you are, you can be part of this vibrant learning community. Additionally, announcements and updates about these sessions, including topics and guest speakers, can be conveniently found on CMMSA 𝕏 account. This flexible arrangement ensures maximal accessibility and encourages participation from a wide array of scholars and enthusiasts in the field of mathematics, while our social media presence keeps the community well-informed and connected.
