Exit Exam

Exam Overview

The exit exam held in the final year of the bachelor's program, aiming to assess the acquisition of mathematical knowledge and skills, along with the ability to integrate them across diverse academic courses. This exam serves as preparation for students to meet the demands of the job market, given its connection to professional exams (Professional License for Educational Jobs). These professional exams, in turn, contribute to fulfilling the requirements of various employment entities. Moreover, the exam presents an opportunity for training before undertaking the professional assessments.

Exam Objectives

  • Ensuring the extent to which students achieve the educational outcomes of the bachelor's program and verifying the alignment of departmental programs with the demands of the job market.
  • Employing direct assessment techniques to measure the outcomes of the bachelor's program and utilizing these outcomes as indicators to gauge performance, thereby serving as benchmarks for comparison.
  • Fulfilling National and International Academic Accreditation Requirements.
  • Identifying areas of strength, bolstering them, and formulating developmental plans as needed.
  • Preparing students for successfully passing professional examinations by training them through simulations of closely related assessments.

Exam Requirements

The exit exam is a compulsory assessment for all students in the eighth level of the bachelor's program within the department (anticipated graduates). It is conducted at the conclusion of each academic term (excluding summer term), overseen by the department's Exit Exam Committee, which is responsible for formulating questions based on national and international standards. Successful completion of the following courses is a prerequisite for eligibility to take the exit exam.

Evaluation

The exit exam for the bachelor's program in the Mathematics department is an evaluative assessment that is not tied to pass or fail outcomes.
